Due to unforeseen circumstances the residential camps on Denman Island which have been operating since 2000 are no longer going to be offered. After 18 great years and many amazing experiences working with soccer crazed youth we will be putting away our tents, packing up our gear and selling the world famous “Denman Island Soccer Bus!” It has been an absolute pleasure to have worked together as a family to prepare, run and host the residential soccer camps through the years. There are hundreds of memories, hundreds of amazing connections made between participants and immeasurable success created on and off the field with these camps. We will miss the midweek adventure to Tribune Bay on Hornby Island, swimming at Graham Lake,  the spontaneous dance parties, movies on the lawn at night, pizza night, mexican night, “world famous” talent shows, mentoring process, friendships, laughter, complete and utter exhaustion from all of the training, fun and games on the field, special guest coaches, community development and involvement and so on. It will be a very different summer for all of us not hosting youth from across the region but will live knowing the experiences we shared and created were unique and more than rewarding

We are pleased to offer you the opportunity to live and train in a very special and unique environment on Denman Island. The community has an excellent soccer field, which, in addition to the lakes, ocean and natural environment provides an excellent setting for you to excel. These residential programs have been running since 2000 with tremendous success, for many, the highlight of each and every summer! Please note, there will be a maximum of 32 participants in each camp and they fill-up fast!

Each residential camp on Denman Island provides you with the opportunity to work hard on and off the field. There are two training sessions daily, excluding Wednesday (day-trip to Tribune Bay) and Friday (morning session only). The sessions are designed to work on technical training (ie passing, first touch, dribbling, etc.) with speed or agility training in the mornings, and the afternoons are reserved for functional training and small sided games. Days are topped oF with a refreshing swim at one of the local lakes and Kathy & Paola’s cooking has become legendary! Be prepared for a residential experience that includes great food and “good times!”.

All participants will be asked to submit a waiver/release form as well as a questionnaire regarding allergies/food and/or acknowledge any special or unique diets prior to the start of camp. All participants will also receive a camp manual to make them familiar with the island, our location and the expectations for the camp. We ask that camp participants be prepared to find their own way to and from the ferry terminal at Buckley Bay at the beginning and end of the camp (please confirm these details prior to the start of the camp). For further information please contact sheldano@telus.net. Importantly, all special requests for player movement between programs will be handled on an individual basis. Which means there is an opportunity for players to participate in programs based on skill rather than birth year. The registration fee is $799.00 and includes GST. The cheque is made payable to Island Keeper Clinics and posted to Shel Brodsgaard, 8511 McFarlane Road, Denman Island, BC, V0R-1T0. Please take a moment to complete the online registration below and send a check in the mail to participate (sorry no credit card payment accepted). All payments must be received one month prior to the start of the camp to ensure participation.
